This week, NJ was hit with a massive snowstorm that canceled online learning for 2 days due to power outages and put the state in a State of Emergency.. During that time. there wasn’t much anyone could do except binge watch shows on streaming services of course. A show that was recently released on Disney+ was “WandaVision.” It’s a sitcom that’s deeply rooted with the Marvel lore. Each episode takes place in a different American time period starting from the 1950s and each episode appears to be in front of a live audience. It is about Wanda (Scarlet Witch in the comics) and Vision trying to live normal lives through the decades while facing everyday problems. Each episode is truly a lived out version of Wanda’s fragile emotional state.  In Avengers: Infinity War, which was released in April 2018, we saw  Wanda kill Vision in order to prevent Thanos from getting his mind stone in order to destroy the world. So the life she has created in this series, is one that is constructed with the help of her powers. A coping mechanism so to speak. 

Each episode is filled with multiple Marvel Easter eggs that fans old and young would enjoy. It dispatches from the standard Marvel release consisting of the feature movie continuing the Marvel timeline.

Currently it’s setting up for the future Marvel phase 4 releases. Future titles include “Black Widow” and “The Eternals.” The head of Marvel Studios, Keven Fiege said that WandaVision would be the set up for future releases like “Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming 3.”
